Good Feeling Is Gone
Phone just rang, STLCC has cancelled one of my courses. It's one of the very few I still need to graduate. Yes people, it's required and every time I enroll it is cancelled. This time, however, it causes considerable other problems. Such as, no Pell grant, no loan. There aren't any other classes I can take. Theoretically I could go to Flo Valley to take this course but I flat out refuse to go up there for paperwork. I haven't had the best experience with Flo Valley. The one teacher I've had there has been probably the worst I've ever seen. Her supervisor, the dean of the department was worse. And it takes literally 4 hours to complete paperwork for Pell because nobody there is competent enough to actually know where to send you so you end up waiting for 40 minutes in an office to discover you didn't actually need to be there. Then there's the whole driving thing which just isn't really an option. It significantly increases the time I'm away from Oak, which won't work. It also makes it impossible for the kids to attend the child care program. That won't work either. And so, with one swoop of the internet clear button, they've completely and totally screwed up my entire next 12 weeks. Possibly longer since the class they cancelled won't even be offered until NEXT spring, and will probably be cancelled then too. This is the 2nd time it's been cancelled out from under me. I'm wondering why they offer this program if there isn't anyone but me in it. Typical STLCC cluster-fudge.

Oh no, how awful! There isn't anything else you can take, any elective requirements? I'm so sorry, I hope it works out.
if you should ever need to lose kids for a class...flo valley especially since I'm on the way...they are always welcome to hang here. Oak too, even. :)
