Do you hear that?

Yeah, I don't hear it either. No phone ringing, no email alert sounding. Nothing nada zippo. You know that company that was finally getting around to scheduling interviews? Crickets chirping in dh's email. Apparently that placement company guy is full of CRAP because 3 days ago he was supposed to have scheduled interviews. He'd "contact us immediately" when it was scheduled. Well, no word, so we're assuming that job is no longer available. Highly professional huh? Yeah, I thought so too.

The other company who called on the phone the other day and promised an email with information and an interview with a company over in illinois also has not followed through on that promise. Nothing from him either. I'm getting a sour taste in my mouth about placement agencies and so is dh.

A third placement company hiring for a temporary contract position (by temporary I mean nearly a year with the option of extending it) promised email and an interview. He hoped to schedule the interview for monday but so far we haven't heard.

So, we're nowhere. Actually, we're looking at the possibility of relocating. I don't know what else to do. We can't sit around indefinately. We are already behind on our mortgage. Something HAS to give and it's possible that selling our house and moving may be our only option. You know how I'm not one to panic. Well, I'm panicing. It's getting hard not to. Double cross your fingers that something and somebody actually comes through last minute here. We're down to the wire.
