I have officially joined this century.

I now know what many citizens have known for a very long time. MP3 players rock. And so does I-tunes. I did it. I bought a Nano for myself with my UMSL student account. It was frivolous and spendy and did I mention frivolous? But dudes, it's GREEN. And it matches my beloved diaper bag. I told Neall I actually SAVED him money by buying the green Nano. You see, I was jonesing (amusing to me that someone who has never been stoned uses that phrase so casually, but hey, what can I say, lol) for a new diaper bag. Unfortunately for dh I am a die-hard Fleurville fan. Those are spendy. By purchasing the Nano that matches the current bag I'm no longer wishing for a new bag. Yeah, I'm weird. And while I was there I also got a Camelbak brand water bottle, where you have to bite the tip to get the water to come out. It's pink. It matches my bag too. It has a little hooky part to hang it from one of the Slip-Not's that hold up the Fleurville bag. So there, I'm officially hip and cool. I can go to the West County Mall without worrying whether my shoes are expensive enough. Nobody will even look past my cool stroller, hip bag, Nano headphones and matching Camelbak water bottle. Dang, sometimes I surprise myself with how badly I want to fit in.

AND THEN I discovered that the Nano can keep a calendar and date book for me too. So ha, suddenly it's USEFUL. I'm glad I bought it. Techie dh had a blast loading all of our discs onto I-tunes. We pathetically only used about 10% of the capacity. I love it. On the list for tonight is to make playlists. I also want to explore some of the options I stumbled on yesterday.
