Happy Valentines Day!

Now THAT is an original title right there. In actuality, this is pretty much just February the 14th in our house. I did have little trinkets for the kids that I picked up at the fair-trade shop on campus. I don't have anything for dh, maybe later ;). He's getting a whole day home alone without any of us to bug him about how much time he's spending on the computer. THAT is one heck of a v-day gift, just ask him, lol. He has all of his new computer put together and now just needs to find a spot for it (hee-hee, good luck there honey) and get it working. The kids and I are going to Ms. Dannielle's house today. Seems like an eternity since I've been over there. Maybe she'll let me bounce on her ball to some groovy 80's music. And there is always tea. I like tea.

I'm now super excited about my stroller again. I went through a mourning period with the loss of the lime green one. I really think this new one is going to be fantastic. Mostly because it goes much higher in weight, actually weighs a little less and has this awesome one-hand fold that I cannot wait to demonstrate at the play area to ooohing and aaahing moms whose husbands are hastily hiding their wallets. (a bit of an exhibitionist I am, lol). I can't wait for it to come.

I have my first test in my Intro to ECE class due by Sunday. I like online tests because you can use your textbook, lol. I don't have to memorize all of the theories of child development, for example, I just have to be familiar enough with them that I can find them quickly. I actually learn more that way than when I am forced to memorize every minute detail just in case it's asked, kwim? I also have a child care center observation, a paper about the movie Supersize Me and an appointment for the van to be looked at and hopefully fixed, not in that order. Add to that dinner at Tara's tonight, and probably an unforeseen event or 2 and voila, busy mama. Just add water. Er, coffee.

Our purple velvet couch with too-short legs is home, the adoption being successful. I LOVE it and can't wait to get real legs on it and paint my room so I can see what sort of throw pillows need to live here with it. The people we bought it from had a lime green shag rug underneath it and I LOVED the combination. It sounds really bold but it actually went quite well together. The green brightened the dark purple/plum of the couch and the couch toned down the bright green. I told her to look me up if she ever wanted to get rid of that rug, lol. They also had the COOLEST dog ever, a goldendoodle.

Keep your eyes peeled here for a dog announcement.
