Before I forget, visit the heathen for a chance to win the cutest dress-up dress ever.
Last night, around 10:30, after visiting the dormitory yet ONE MORE TIME to explain away "scary things" I came down the stairs (or rather, rolled down the stairs) on a crayon. Ow. That was not good. It knocked the wind out of me prompting dh to start calling 911 when I couldn't answer him promptly as to whether I needed him to call. I thought I may have broken something but upon further examination I have just nasty bruises. One happens to cover my entire right cheek (not the one on my face) and the other is the bottom of my right foot. Neither are good places to have a bruise. Luckily that is the extent of my injuries and I slept fairly well thanks in large part due to a lot of arnica pellets.
Oak is crawling, full on, knees up, move his whole body, not where you put him when you come back CRAWLING. In an effort to slow him down I have been putting him in fleece pajamas whenever possible and putting him only on the laminate floor. This works remarkably well at slowing him down. Today at Granny's house, however, I probably won't be as lucky as they have carpet. They are also less baby-proof than I am (is that even possible?). At any rate, life gets more interesting from here on out.
In holiday news I have decided what each child is getting. Well, maybe. Oak is getting something with lights and buttons and BATTERIES. I think I have lost my blooming mind. My "no China" rule this holiday could be about to expire. I just knw he will LOVE a toy like that. My only other option is that rainforest jumper thing but 1. we already have a jumper for the Amby Hammock. 2. where in the world would I put such a monstrosity? I know he would love it but it's not going to happen. I'm compromising and getting him a loud obnoxious toy to make up for our lack of space for that stellar jumper. He's the first of my children who has been even interested in such a thing.
Zella is getting some sort of bath toy. She loves the tub and there are some really cute ones with lots of pouring and splashing and sprinkling and stuff to be done. She will jump immediately into the tub, I am sure.
Finn is getting something sports related. I wish I could afford a trampoline. I wish I had space for a trampoline.
Winnie is getting a cool scrapbooking kit to go with her camera that she got for her birthday. I think she will be very occupied for the day and nothing will be leftover for me to store, which is of course my goal.
And lastly, pray for my online friend Tawnya. She's touched many lives, has shown great grace and peace and thoughtfullness (the right words are not coming to me, but I know you all know what I am trying to say) and is a bright light in this world. She may not be part of this world much longer (though she may surprise even herself and be around awhile longer) but she'll be a part of so many hearts for a long time to come. Be at peace my friend and know that love and comfort surround you as long as you need it.

Thanks for linking to the contest and I gave up on the no China thing myself. It was so hard finding my teenagers things that they would like that are handmade that it was stressing me out! I found all kinds of cute things for them but they are buttheads and didn't like any of it. *sigh*
I don't even have teenagers and the no china thing was hard. I'm doing ok, so far, but there will be a couple of things under the tree that are from China. Most importantly, I am aware of where my products are coming from, which I assume would be the point of this whole thing. I may not be able to avoid China entirely, but I can at least make different choices if they exist.
