Well now, what a difference a day makes

So, dh read my last blog post, we discussed, I cried, he frowned. There is no change in plans for the V, though it didn't happen yesterday. Dh had to reschedule because of a JOB INTERVIEW, wahoo! The new appointment is a CONSULTATION rather than the real thing and it's not until the end of June. In the meantime, dh has to pamper me and show me extra love and attention every time I cry about the vasectomy. I told him it was only fair, and that if he wanted me to ever get over it, that was going to have to be in place. Don't think I won't milk this for all it's worth . I'm looking forward to lots of time spent with dh. Oh, and with the other issue I've mostly edited out but some of you read. First, apologies for being so raw. I was really hurt. I'm sorry if anyone was offended. Along those lines, we still have some work to do as far as resolving the issue goes. One of the main issues for him, though, was his distrust in the method of birth control (we've had 3 failures, not obvious failures, everything seemed fine but somehow it happened anyway). He was so scared of another failure that it was flavoring his pleasure-meter. So, it wasn't just me.

We now have a Y membership. I am going to move my body several times/week. So is Dh, because I know it will make him feel better. I can't wait to lose some pounds. The kids are thrilled with having a place to swim. Lessons start next week. I'm crazy, but they're all at the same time so I or dh will be in the water with Zella, Finn will be in the small pool in his own class and Winnie is in the bigger pool with her class, all at once. One of us has to be with the baby too. It ought to be interesting to see how it all works out.

Dh's assessment test to work for a local chemical company went well. Results should be in on Monday followed by a pre-interview from the placement company. Providing that all goes well he'll interview with the company itself and should know by the end of next week whether he has a job. Soooo, all you finger crossers out there should join me in a finger crossing campaign. The salary and shift is right where we want to be, and this is a QA/QC position so it's even what he wants to be doing.

There is also a headhunter with dh's resume in hand thanks to a friend. If this above job doesn't work out then hopefully something will come from the headhunter :).

Art and Air was a total blast last night. We found lots of really neat stuff to drool over and wish we had money for. One particular place had the most incredibly cool set of coffee mugs I've ever seen. If I'd had $25 for one I'd have bought them. We got their card though and as soon as money is not such an issue I'm getting a set. They'd be perfect for our kitchen and I would LOVE to support a local artist. It was a man and woman. They were so nice, had a 3yo and were pining over the baby, lol. The looked at each other with that "oh, I want a baby, do you want a baby" look and sparks flew, lol. They looked like they would have dropped everything and gone to try right that second if they could have. Such tenderness and desire in that look, without being inappropriate.
