find book one of the series I just discovered at the library

That reminds me, what is it with our local library??? ARGH! I'm browsing through the new books the other day when one catches my eye. I discover it's part of a series so I head for the computer to find the first book in the series. I was expecting to have to request it from another library. Frustration quickly set in when I discovered that the library does not own the first book of the series. They have the second, not the third, and now the fourth. Um, how does that make any sense? I want to read the ding-dang books, yk? This is not the first time this has happened.

I also got a book on embroidery stitches to browse through. I was looking for an embroidery pattern book but didn't find one at that branch. I will go online and print some today I think. I want to make each of the kids a library bag with their name embroidered on it. Doesn't that sound like a practical use for beautiful hand embroidery? I think it'll be really cool. I hope the kids like them.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to sing the praises of the Amby Hammock. What a fantastic invention. I think I'll do a "favorite must-have baby stuff" list tomorrow. Since I like lists so much and all.

I HATE when they don't have a complete series. HATE it. Now I am all pissed off. CAUSE I HATE WHEN THEY ARE MISSING BOOKS. Who makes decisions on what books to buy anyway? What do they do? Sit there and think, "Hmmm, I have number one at home and it was good. I want to read number 2...hmm, I'll buy it with library funding."

Or maybe, stupid people, like me, just never return the books. they give up and take it out of the system.
