Wii Would Like to Play (Also known as The Stars Have Aligned)

Yes, friends, the stars have aligned and we are now the proud owners of a Wii. Dh and I were shopping at Target yesterday and, as usual, I peeked around the corner in the Wii aisle and turned around to head back to the cart when there was nothing there in the Wii console spot. But wait. Is that a box? With a Wii in it? I said to the first red-shirted guy I saw "hey (I actually said hey, how rude) do you ACTUALLY HAVE Wii's?" He said "yes we do, we have a few of them". I said "Oh Neeeeaaaallllllll" because he'd wandered off towards the kitchen gadgets. He poked his head around the corner. I said, in a whisper, "they have them, Wii, they HAVE them" as I glanced around accusingly sizing up the other customers to see if they would hear me and swoop in to get the last ones out from under me. Neall smacked his forehead but underneath the "ugh, I don't know if we should spend the money" face was a big old poop-eating grin (where DID that term come from. Ewwww.). And so, I said "we'll take one". Actually, I was a dork and said (in total originality, I'm sure) "Wiiii would like to buy one". Dork. Anyway, then I had to ask what they were all about and whether we needed anything else to be able to hook it up and play it immediately because somewhere in the hype of wanting one and not being able to find one I forgot to actually find out what it is I was wanting so badly. I knew it was a game system that got people moving but that's about it, lol.

And so, we cancelled bedtime and were up until wee hours playing it. We finally drug ourselves to bed around 2 I think. AM. Zella and Oak are still sleeping. Guess where Winnie and Finn are. And here I sit on the laptop, a lovely morning, lol. I haven't even had coffee. I was too tired to make it. Then I got up the energy to make it and now I'm too tired to get myself a cup. How pathetic is that?

And so, all of the bills are paid, money in savings, some fun stuff is on it's way in the mail and some fun stuff has already arrived. I can get ds a Wii game for his birthday taking care of that little issue. I wanted to order a Tutu from a website I found but she charges $10 shipping on an $18 tutu. I think that's ridiculous. Zella will get a crown and some bendies from Dannielle and maybe a tutu from somewhere else, or perhaps I'll make one. Oak is still in "what the heck do we get him for his birthday" land. It's hard to buy for a kid whose favorite game is "throw all of the clean silverware from the dishwasher onto the dirty floor".

Hey, check Amity's for a post by Nancy (OnTheBrink) where she tells how to make a super-cute tutu from strips of tulle and a stretchy headband.

Got an email with your PM, thanks. :)
