So after a significant amount of miscommunication last night, I got to go to the mall and meet Becka. I had settled down to watch HP Order of the Phoenix when the phone rang. It was Becka saying she was at the book store waiting for me. I raced out the door and met her there. I managed to finish my holiday shopping . The fog was horrendous coming home and Becka opted to spend the night here on my couch. It's not a ton better this morning but at least it's not disorientingly dark on top of foggy. We did some talking and giggling and it was a fun evening, even though it was impromptu. Fairies visit tonight (a day late and several dollars overspent, lol) and tomorrow is the big fun day of gift opening and family. I had planned a trip to the zoo but it's supposed to rain so I think we'll just stay home.
Speaking of family. My IL's are missing in action. Something happened and their cell phones were turned off (payment didn't make it in time I think) and they're super busy. Granny is in a rehabilitation facility for her broken hip and everyone is spending much time there. Christmas Eve is supposed to be at Aunt Mary's house but I don't know if that's changed or not. I THINK we were going to do Christmas at my IL's house but perhaps not now. I just don't know.
And every holiday would be incomplete without either vomiting or diarrhea. 2 days ago it was Finn. Today it's Zella, though she hasn't vomited yet, just leaky diapers and a sore bottom :(. I predict a large amount of bathtime in her future today.
And finally, there is possibly a mouse in my kitchen. Go figure. I don't understand how that could be since it's sparkling clean most of the time and there's no place for a mouse to hide. But dh says he saw one, and so tomorrow will include the setting of a trap. Today I'll do a thorough sweeping and attempt to get under stuff. I'm a bit afraid to go digging though. Maybe I'll wait until dh is home. The kids can play with their new stuff while we clean behind the fridge.

Eh, I don't buy the myth that if your kitchen is clean the mice don't come. I think ours is *mostly* clean, and god knows they keep coming in. We're planning a war operation tonight though - I bought 8 snap traps. I've asked them nicely to leave several times, so now unfortunately its time for carnage.
