So, the sensor on the van that's going bad (if that's truly what's going on which it seems very likely that it is) is no really big deal. It's something Neall can fix, under $100 for the part if we need a new one, a couple of bucks for cleaning solution that will hopefully fix the problem IF it wasn't NTB's fault. It's possible that since the air filter was changed within 24 hours of the sensor failing, and given the proximity of the air filter to the sensor, then it stands to reason that maybe the chaning of the air filter did something. Therefore, it could be NTB's fault in which case they would deal with it. Dh and I are both conspiracy theorists and wondering if this is some sort of a ploy by them to get more money. It's a simple fix, but one that would cost us a heap of money if we had THEM fix it. If we weren't smart enough to do the research on our own and find out what was happening we probably would have just taken it to NTB since we have an open credit line with them (which they would know about since I just had it in there for an oil change and they had to look up my account since I didn't have the card). Hmmmm... . It does seem an awful coincidence and being a woman who turned down about $400 worth of OTHER stuff they tried to talk me into, this seems kind of suspicious. At any rate, I hope they just wiggled it loose and didn't actually break it. I don't trust these car people, can you tell?
We also have another first in our house. Winnie, first time ever in our house, strep throat. Never had a kid with strep before but I'd bet dang good money that's what this is. My real dilemma is: to take her to the doctor I would have to get all the kids up at ungodly morning hour to take all of them with me to the doctor so she can see Winnie, thereby probably exposing us all to goddess knows what other germs and yuckies. Then I would have to haul them all back around again to GET Neall from work. Sounds fun huh? And THEN, based on my surfing of WebMD, antibiotics do absolutely NOTHING for the person taking them. They do not lessen symptoms or decrease the amount of time kids feel sick. They DO lower the contagious period from possibly 3 weeks to 48 hours. Aaaaaaaaannnnddd, the dilemma begins again. Remember me doing this a week ago with Finn and his ear infection? Since his recovery was started before I'd even posted the question (unbeknownst to me) I ended up not doing abx with him.

Apple cider vinegar and honey kills strep
Some strep needs anibiotics. My dr can tell which, though I don't know how.
The stuff that needs anibiotics...let me telll you...if there is anything worse than an ear ache it is the nasty kind of strep. I think someone in my house is a carrier because I just keep getting it. It is horrible horrible horrible. If she seems too miserable, I would take her in. If she is slightly miserable then i would have her rest at home.
