I heard you groaning. This isn't as crazy as my other previous ideas to get rich quick. Ok, maybe it is, but maybe not.
I want to be Ann Landers but in person. I want to be an "advisor", give advice, counseling, offer up my opinion, do research for people, be someone to listen, someone to bounce ideas off of. I won't tell people exactly what they want to hear (unless that's truly my opinion). I can picture it. A little store front, nice comfy couches (a huge play area of course). You, my customer, come in the front door and say "my child has an ear infection, should I give antibiotics." I will ask some questions, accept your $5, and give my opinion. If it happens to be something I am not very knowledgeable about, say, politics, it'll cost you $10 because I need to spend some time researching. The more people come in the better because I become knowledgeable and therefore don't need to research. Need me to find someone? I'll try. Want to know whether to refinance or not? I'll figure it out. Wonder how 1/2 and 1/2 can be fat free? I can tell you! Which is better, Kool Aid or soda? I got that answer too. Want to whine about how your husband doesn't help around the house? I'll tell you how to get him off the couch. Need a good hot wings recipe? Leave it to me. Which 3 classes should my differently aged children take at the Y so we're not living there? I'll figure it all out for you.
My inspiration is that I am a know-it-all. I will freely admit this. I LOVE to give advice. It's good advice too. I almost never take my own advice, but if I did, my life would be perfect. I'm sure of it. So, I figure everyone likes advice, and for a small fee, you can pick my brain.
My favorite part of this is my catch phrase: "Like counseling without the psychobabble".
Like it?

You, my friend, are a certifiable nutcase.
or how about "like a bartender without the bar." Aren't bartenders famous for that kind of advice?
Maybe you could be the proprioter of a kid-friendly coffee shop. I'll take some coffee with that advice!
Oooohhh, good idea! That could be the catch we need. The hook to bring people in! Great idea! Now if I could just get a business loan...
