The doctors appointment yesterday was totally uneventful. Not sure what I was hoping for, lol. I anticipated a curiosity about Oak's homebirth. Everyone in the office knew because I was greeted with "oh, YOU'RE the one who had a homebirth" from every staff member I ran into the whole way back into the room. The nurse who took my blood pressure said "good for you". Dr. Padratzic asked the baby's birth weight, discussed (because I asked) tubal procedures, and asked if I had any concerns for him to address. He checked briefly on my teeny-tiny tear (which he couldn't even find evidence of) and that was that. I sort of expected him to be curious about how it all went down. Then again, maybe the less he knows the better for his insurance rates or liability.
On another note. The phone is not ringing. There is no job offer, much less multiple offers rolling in. Someone explain to me how my top-of-his-class husband with an excellent work history, work ethic, personality, has not even gotten a phone call. I'm worried. Shhh, don't tell dh. On that note...
Any second now the phone will start ringing. Just one offer is all we need. Hey universe, do you hear me? Just one call, one interview, one offer. We're not greedy. Just one offer. For those of you inclined to do so please light a candle or something. We need a bone here, kwim?
